If you're searching for a way to add some luxury and classic appeal to your home, herringbone flooring is a fantastic choice.

With its powerful comeback, this traditional style has emerged as a top option for homeowners looking to make a big visual statement in their homes.

At Mersey Flooring, we offer a range of herringbone laminate flooring options that blend traditional style with modern innovation, providing a durable and eye-catching solution for every home.

Why Choose Herringbone Flooring?

The distinctive zigzag design of herringbone creates a sense of depth and movement, making rooms appear larger and more dynamic.

This maximises space for an open and airy home, making it ideal for smaller areas. You can choose from three different types of herringbone flooring:

  • Herringbone vinyl flooring: This is a more versatile and water-resistant option, ideal for bathrooms, kitchens, and conservatories. Available in a wide range of finishes and colours, this is versatile, durable, and resistant to warping.

  • Herringbone laminate flooring: This flooring combines the aesthetic appeal of natural wood with the durability and low maintenance of laminate. It’s ideal for high-traffic areas like living rooms, kitchens, and hallways since it can tolerate normal wear and tear without losing its beauty.

  • LVT herringbone flooring: This is a great choice for any room as it combines the beautiful design of herringbone with the durability of vinyl. This flooring is soft underfoot and provides good thermal and acoustic insulation, ensuring comfort. Herringbone LVT simulates the appearance of natural materials like stone or wood for an authentic look.

If you’re looking to upgrade your home and invest in a reliable floor, Mersey Flooring is here to deliver.

From warm oak to ash grey and light beige, we have a style to suit every interior. Herringbone laminate is easy to clean and maintain, holding up against stains, scratches, and general wear and tear.

All of our flooring is manufactured to a high standard, and we offer options for bathrooms, kitchens, dining rooms, conservatories, and more!

From selecting the ideal flooring to aftercare advice, our friendly team is on hand to help you so you can enjoy your beautiful new floors for years to come.

Herringbone Flooring FAQs

Herringbone flooring has received a grand reputation for its unique design. This flooring features rectangular blocks, planks, or tiles that are laid out in a zig-zag pattern, resembling the bones of a herring fish.

This adds a classic elegance to any home, creating depth and a visually appealing feature. This can be installed in bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens, and hallways, blending seamlessly with any interior.

At Mersey Flooring, we provide a wide range of Herringbone options in various colours, including grey, dark brown, and light brown.

With Laminate, LVT, and SPC variations, we have a floor to match every customer's needs and preferences. Each design provides a durable outer layer, protecting your floor from scratches, dents, and spills.

With soft padding and easy installation, we can have your dream floor ready to go in no time.

There are many benefits of installing herringbone flooring in your home:

  • Durability: Hardwood herringbone is incredibly durable. The interlocked pattern adds to the strength of the floor, distributing weight and stress more evenly.
  • Versatility in Design: Herringbone is available in hardwood, tile, laminate, and luxury vinyl. This variety allows it to fit a wide range of traditional to contemporary interiors. It can also be customised to suit a wide range of needs.
  • Illusion of Space: This pattern can make rooms appear larger and more open. An illusion of extra space is created by the V-shape of the herringbone pattern, leading the eye along the length or width of a room.

Herringbone flooring is designed to prevent scratches and denting, which is ideal for homes with messy dogs and children.

Materials like laminate or luxury vinyl herringbone are more resistant to stains and moisture and are easier to clean.
